Glina Braden

Glina Braden, 90, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born Jan. 20, 1918 in Tuckerman to the late William and Adlia Hinson. She was a member of the Monette First Baptist Church. She taught for many years in the Monette and Gosnell School Districts. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Monette Garden Club and the Delta Sorority.

Survivors include five nephews, Jerry Wayne Wilson of Taylor, Miss., Jim Fraser of Monette, Mike Hinson and Steven Hinson, both of Jonesboro, and Rick Hinson of Jackson, Tenn.; four nieces, Wanda McCrackin of Jonesboro, Jeaneane Flynn of St. Charles, Mo., Brenda Gulley of Jonesboro and Connie Gore of Paragould, and long time care giver, Betty Henry.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Braden; a daughter, Linda Kay Braden; three sisters, Gladys Hinson, Ruby Neal Fraser and Lucille Wilson; two brothers, Troy Hinson and Billy Hinson, and two nephews, Lavon Hinson and Dewayne Hinson.

A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her greatnephews, Biff Fraser, Kenneth Gulley, Terry Hinson, Barry Hinson, David Hinson, Charles Hinson, Wesley Hinson, Bradley Hinson, Jimmy Gore and Tony McCrackin.

Lasting memorials may be sent to the Hillcrest Children Home in Hot Springs.
