Jeanne Lewis Pasmore, 49, of Jonesboro, died Friday morning Sept. 26, 2008, at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Blytheville, and lived in Steele, Mo., with her parents until she attended college. She was a 1980 graduate of Arkansas State University, with a bachelors degree in radio and television. She was employed as an assistant office manager by Duke Broadcasting and Clear Channel Broadcasting for 27 years. She was an active member of Fisher Street United Methodist Church, where she played the piano for over 20 years and was instrumental in the summer lunch program.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, John M. Pasmore; two sons, John Lewis and Drew, and a daughter, MariBeth Pasmore, all of the home; and her parents, Bill and Inez Whitney Lewis of Steele, Mo. Additional survivors include her father and mother-in-law, John W. and Cheryl Pasmore, her sisters-in-law, Vicki and Emily Pasmore, a brother-in-law, Jay Trebilcock and wife Amy, four nephews, one niece, and one great-nephew, all of Jonesboro.

A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Fisher Street United Methodist Church. Reverends Nancy Rainwater, Larry Hunt and Guy Whitney officiated. Emerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The family requests that lasting memorials be made to the Fisher Street United Methodist Church summer lunch program.
