Doyle Lee Brady, 79, of Springville, Tenn., died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Henry County Medical Center.

His wife, Margaret Case Brady, survives. They were married on March 16, 1963.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Ridgeway Funeral home. Dennis Downing and Arvil "Butch" Brady officiated. Cremation followed the service.

A son of the late James Michael Brady and Effie S. Antwine Brady, he was born March 16, 1929, in Walnut, Miss. He was raised in the Lost Cane Community south of Manila. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran. He also worked as a carpenter for TVA in Cumberland City and Gallatin and attended a Baptist church.

He also leaves two daughters, Deborah Brady of Cumberland Furnace and Joan (Mike) Joiner of Madisonville, Ky.; a brother, Arvil G. Brady of Wauconda, Ill.; five sisters, Mary Jane Bourland and Dorothy Turner, both of Manila, Bonnie Carpenter of Wautoma, Wis., Faye Daniel of Southaven, Miss., and Carolyn Downing of Nacogdoches, Texas; and four grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda Self and Justin and Christi Joiner.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Terry Brady; and two sisters, Johnnie Bachuss and Mavis Lowry.
