Barbara Sue Timms

Barbara Sue Timms, 63, of Lake City, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She lived most of her life in the Lake City area and was a member of the Refuge General Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Nickolas Timms; her parents, Luther Mann and Christene Henley; two brothers, Frank Mann and Charles Mann; and a sister, Dean Shaver.

She is survived by her husband, James Timms, of the home; two daughters, Kathy Cornish, and husband Ernest Monette; Jamie Howard, of Lake City; brothers, Billy Mann, and wife Pat of Lake City, Dewayne Mann, and wife Debbie of Finger, Tenn., Tommy Mann, and wife Patty of Lake City, Linnard Mann, and wife Shirley of Jackson, Tenn.; sisters, Ann Adams, and husband Larry of Bono and Elaine Mann of Finger, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Derek Cornish, Tyler Cornish, Paige Howard, and Landon Howard, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Rand.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Refuge General Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Ward and Rev. Ernest Cornish officiating. Burial was in Lower Cane Island Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Mark Mann, Chip Mann, Rickie Timms, Randy Timms, Ricky Rand, Tye Combs, David Mann and Gary Mann. Honorary pallbearers were Derek Cornish and Tyler Cornish.
