Ruth Elizabeth Roe, 90, died Friday May 30, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born near Caraway, she retired from American Greetings in Osceola. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church near Caraway. She enjoyed Quilting and gardening and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband Adis Vernon Roe, her parents, Roy and Florence Peterson, two sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by three daughters Mary Ann Dennis of Cherokee Village, Melba Wren and husband W.A. of West Memphis, Bonnie Henard and husband Jerry of Dyess; two sons Vernon Roe and wife Brenda of Caraway, and Roy Roe of Searcy; a brother Roy Peterson of Wynne, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

A celebration of her life was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette. Burial was in Monette Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Dennis, Gary Andrew, John Booth, Dwight Booth, Curt Wren, and Wren Felts.
