Lanell C. Berry, 67, of Mount Pleasant, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at her home. She was a native of the Lake City area where she lived before moving to Mount Pleasant five years ago. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant. She was active in the women's group of her church and was a retired school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion "Goody" Berry, her parents, and a sister.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Vickie Berry of Bartlett, Tenn., and Matthew and Elizabeth Berry of Jonesboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Jerry Richmond of West Memphis, and Kristi and Joe Williamson of Piggott; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Wes Sales of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Elvis Sneathern and Rev. Bud Stahl officiating. Burial was in Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were W.C. Evans, Ron Pelletier, Wayne Moore, Ray Carmichael, Sonny James and Sonny Lewis.
