George Edgin

Arbyrd, Mo.

George Edgin, 95, of Arbyrd, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Leachville, he was the son of the late Robert and Jessie Louisea Edgin and was a lifelong Leachville and Arbyrd resident. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Leachville Masonic Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Edgin.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Edgin, of the home; a brother, Earnest Edgin of Leachville; two sisters, Christeen Littlefield of Leachville and Jessie Ruth Martin of St. Charles, Mo.; two granddaughters, Teresa Young of Arbyrd, and Christy Spence of Kennett; and three great-grandchildren, Shelby Spence, Nathan Spence and Andrew Spence.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Russell Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
