Leon L. King, Sr., 69 of Manila, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Oct. 30, 1938, in Blytheville, the son of Melvin and Myrtle Belle Elliott King, he was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church in Manila, a retired salesman for the Dr. Pepper Bottling Co., and a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Randy King.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams King, of Manila; a son, Leon L. King, Jr., of Manila; a brother, Mitchell King of Gosnell; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Blackwater Baptist Church in Manila with Rev. Mitchell King, Jr. officiating. Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville was in charge of arrangements.
