Martha Jean Stillwell, 66, of Manila, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Dixie Turner Evans and had lived in Michigan before returning to Manila 25 years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lake City Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Evans and Leonard Evans; two sisters, Dorothy Phillips and Linda Willmuth.

Survivors included her husband, Vernon Stillwell, of Manila; a son, Timothy Stillwell of Mt. Morris, Mich.; six daughters, Debbie Viele of Jonesboro, Pamela Stillwell-Binder of Caro, Mich., Kimberly Wallace of Stuarts Draft, Vir., Angela Stillwell of Paragould, Michelle Sasser of Rose City, Mich., and Jamie Lynn Williams, of Manila; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Donnie Edge officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
