Oliver K. Armstrong, 78, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at his home in Lake City. He attended Lake City United Methodist Church for the last 53 years.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Armstrong of the home; a daughter and her husband, Regina and Kevin Beine of Memphis; a son, Robert K. Armstrong of New York City; a grandson, Nicholas Z. Beine of Memphis; and a sister, Elizabeth Kamp of North Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.Q. and Elsie Armstrong Sr.; two brothers, W.B. Armstrong and J.Q. Armstrong Jr.; and a sister, Nona Armstrong.

Visitation was held from noon until 1:30 p.m. Friday at Gregg Funeral Home chapel in Jonesboro. A private family graveside service and burial was held at Bowman Cemetery with Bruce Higgins officiating.

Pallbearers were Jeff McMillin, James Blankenship, James Stewart, Jackie Williams, Darren Owens and Steve Adams.
