Lake City

Summer Michelle Maddox, 18, of Lake City, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. She was born in St. Louis, Mo., and lived in Lake City for three years, moving there from Gulf Breeze, Fla.

She was a part-time checker for Farmers Market in Lake City and was a member of the Liberty Full Gospel Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Aaron Martin.

Survivors include her mother, Melinda Roberson of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; her grandparents, Everett and Rosemary Blakley, of Lake City; a brother, Collin Roberts, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; a sister, Hannah Roberts, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Roma Adams and Rev. Terry Adams officiating. Burial was at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Active pallbearers were Mark Murphy, Caleb McClusky, Nathan Eldridge, Jacky Smith, Clayton Birdside, and Rickie Corban.

Honorary pallbearers were Riverside High School Class of 2007.

Emerson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Family request that memorials be made to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center, 877 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, Tenn. 38103.
