Linnie May Hill, 103, of Leachville, died Sunday, April 1, 2007, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born at Walnut Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Zack and Amanda Copeland Minton. She had been a Leachville area resident since 1938 and had worked for many years at Pyett Dime Store and later at Taybor Dry Goods where she retired. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Eastern Star and a longtime member of the Leachville First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Hill, four stepsons, Garland Hill, Herbert Hill, Guffrey Hill and Eugene Hill, a stepdaughter, Ruth Shipley; and a brother, Walter Minton.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nora Hill of La Salle, Col.; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rudy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday morning from 11:30 until service time.
