Walnut Ridge

Linda T. Thompson, 56, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at her residence in Walnut Ridge. She was born in Forrest City on March 31, 1950, and graduated with honors from Blytheville High School. She spent 13 years in Apopka, Fla., before moving back to Jonesboro in 1997, where she had spent much of her life. She had worked as an assistant bookkeeper and secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Thompson; and two daughters, Angela V. Mills and Jessica N. Thompson.

She is survived by her son and wife, Mark and Virginia Mills of Walnut Ridge; a stepson, Chris Thompson of Florida; a stepdaughter, Jackie Thompson of Florida; a granddaughter, Faith N. Mills of Walnut Ridge; her mother, Lillie B. Doss of Jonesboro; a half-brother, Harold Brewer of Forrest City; two half-sisters, Anita Holt of Jonesboro and Susie Onash of London, Ark.; and two aunts, Johnny Arrends of Blytheville and Mary Nelson of Black Oak.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 12, in the Magnolia Chapel of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro with Rev. Willard Heinrichs officiating. Burial was in the Philadelphia Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mark Mills, Junior Koch, Jamie Patscheck, Chris Green, Bill Woods, Cliff Bailey and Kevin Wilson.
