Monette

Nettie Qualls, 88, of Monette died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Manila Nursing Center. Born in Whitehall on Sept. 26, 1918, she lived in the Monette and Lake City area most of her life. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Qualls; son, Richard Qualls; parents, Tom and May Stewart; three sisters, Winnie Mays, Era McEntire and Mildred Qualls; and a brother, Winfred Stewart.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Tammy Qualls of Brookshire, Texas, and Jessie Qualls of Hempshill, Texas; a brother, R.S. Stewart; and two sisters, Thelma Barton and Christine McDaniel, both of Paragould.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. J.W. Gibbs officiating.

Active pallbearers were Ronnie Qualls, Dan Qualls, Terry Qualls, Stewart Herndren, Michael Stewart, Steve Stewart and Red Qualls.
