J.E. Huskey, 66, of Manila died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Born in Utica, Miss., on Aug. 14. 1940, he was a foreman for Chevoron Oil and of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Amy Huskey; and two brothers, T.J. Huskey and David Huskey.

Survivors include three daughters, Victoria Welsh of Fairview, N.C., Brandy Huskey and Brooke Bailey, both of East Peoria, Ill.; three brothers, R.V. Huskey of Rivervale, Buck Huskey of Caraway and Marvin Huskey of Manila; seven sisters, Helen Winn of Grand Rapids, Mich., Ruth McVay of Steele, Mo., Mary Keanum of Cooter, Mo., Bobby Miles of Marked Tree, Joan Jaco of Springfield, Mo., Peggy Eastwood of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Betty Boyer of Dudley, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Adams officiating. Burial was in Caraway Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Bradley Huskey, Wesley Huskey, Buck Huskey, R.V. Huskey, Marvin Huskey and Dan Dailey. Honorary pallbearer was Norman Huskey.
