Bono

Jack E. DuBar, 78, of Bono, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at his residence. Born in Marmaduke, he had lived most of his life in Northeast Arkansas. He worked at several different cotton gins as a cotton ginner. He was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include five sons, Eddie and Gene DuBar, both of Jonesboro, Elbert DuBar of Bono, Earnie DuBar of St. Croix, NSW, Australia, and Vernon DuBar of Lake City; a daughter, Gloria DuBar Brown of Jonesboro; a sister, Myrtle Barry, of Paragould; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Eva Smith DuBar, a son, Gerald DuBar, and a grandson, Wesley DuBar.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Rev. Dan Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Cross Roads Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Brad DeBorde, David Cupp, Jason Jernigan, Marcus DuBar, David Hudson and Steve Emmons.

Honorary pallbearers are Walter Smith, Danny Phiefer, Garland Gilmore, Dean Mote, Glen Worlow, Brett DuBar and Rick Colburn.
