Jerry Wayne Davis, 59, of Manila, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born to William Henry and Ruby Mae Austin Davis in Corinth, Miss., he grew up in Blytheville and was a retired bricklayer. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoying fishing, hunting, drawing, painting and rebuilding race cars.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Jimmy Ray Davis, and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, "Dell" Thompson of the home; mother, Ruby Mae Austin Davis of Blytheville; children, Scott Davis and Cortni Stanfill of Manila, Jonathan and Heather Criswell McKemie of Manila, Micah and Mychelle McKemie of West Plains, Mo., Cheryl Morrow and Millard Stracener of Sydney, Kathy and David McCall of Jonesboro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Davis of Conway, Billy and Diane Davis of Blytheville, Danny and Judy Davis of Bono; sister, Linda Childers of Blytheville; grandchildren, Kevin Morrow, Brandi Morrow, Tonya Morrow, Tiffany Morrow, Dale Stracener, Justin Stracener, Amanda Stacener, Heather Isbell, Katelyn Isbell, Wesley Isbell, Amy McCall, Aaron McCall, Amber McCall, MaKenzie McCall, Jacob Davis, Courtney Ring, Ashton Ring, Josh Pruitt, Brittany McKemie, Brent McKemie, Briley McKemie, Zane McKemie, Alex McKemie, Braxton McKemie, Lexie Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Morrow, Briar Morrow, several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and very special friends Paul, Sherry, and Cortnee Scoggins.

Pallbearers were Billy Davis, Kevin Morrow, David McCall, Millard Stracener, Micah McKemie, and Justin Stracener. A special honorary tribute was to Scott Davis, Jonathan McKemie, Dr. John S. Johnson, Dr. Mark Sifford, Dr. Michael Mackey, Dr. J. Hernandez, Dr. J. Ruiz, and the staff off Blytheville Dialysis Center.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Manila Cemetery with Billy Holifield officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville. Condolences may be emailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net.
