Lillian W. Cosbey - Caraway

Lillian W. Cosbey, 78, of Caraway died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She had lived in Caraway since 1976 moving there from Florida, and was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Cosbey Sr.; a son, Vernon W. Cosbey; and a sister, Jimmie Lou Gillihan.

Survivors include sons, Robert Cosbey Jr. of Parrish, Fla., David Cosbey, Michael Cosbey and John Northcutt, all of Caraway; daughters, Patsy Cosbey and Elizabeth Turner, both of Caraway, and Virginia Dean of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Sidney Woods of Little Rock; sisters, Louise Sawyer of Lake City, Dixie Parker of Leachville, Melba Arquette of Kelso, Wash., and Charlene Duncan and Ann Obrian, both of Tucson, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Caraway United Methodist Church with Donnie Hudson officiating and burial was in Manila Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Bo Lane, Ronald Gipson, John McGee, Gary Don Hurst, Gaylon Barrett and Patrick Gross.

Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Bynum, Glen Boone and Lee Sawyer.
