Clyde Samuel "Sam" Ashabranner - Jacksonville

Clyde Samuel "Sam" Ashabranner, 61 of Jacksonville, died at Rebsamen Medical Center in Jacksonville, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006. He was born in Waldron to the late H. C. and Elsie Ammons Ashabranner, Feb. 19, 1945, and was raised in Manila. He retired from Fleet Tire Service. He was a player and softball coach for many years. Currently he has been the commissioner and a board member for the Jacksonville Youth Softball Program.

Survivors include his son, Logan Ashabranner, and daughter, Gina Ashabranner, both of Jacksonville; a brother, Bobby Ashabranner of Elaine, and grandchildren, Noah and Haley Ashabranner.

Funeral services were 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Moore's Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Cecil Hyde officiating. Interment was in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
