Roy Cleghorn - Monette

Roy Cleghorn, 62, of Monette died Tuesday, Nov. 8, at St. Bernard's Medical center in Jonesboro. Born at Monette and formerly of Holland, Mich., he lived the past two years in Monette. He retired from Flint Ink Company as a production worker and was of the Assembly of God belief. He was a member of BIC Classic Car club.

Survivors include four daughters, Shannon Stephen and Husband, Lewis, of Fennville, Mich., Jeanne Martinez and husband, Alex, of Dorr, Mich., Crystal Lundy and husband, Steve, of Holland, Mich., and Cynthia Cleson of Holland; six brothers, J.C. Cleghorn of Jonesboro, Shelby Cleghorn of Monette, Russell Cleghorn of Parkhill, Mo., Jerry Don Cleghorn of Elkhart, Texas, Troy Cleghorn of Paragould, and David Cleghorn of Bunkerhill, W.Va.; two sisters, Ruby Russell of Jonesboro and Doris Despain of Lake City; nine grandchildren, Sean Stephen, Christopher Stephen, Jessica Martinez, Nicholas Maritnez, April, Matt, Misty, Amber and Mike; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith Peete Cleghorn and a brother, Merl Clay Cleghorn.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was in Monette Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Jack Despain, Gary Despain, Tim Despain, Eddie Despain, Barry Cleghorn and Jerry Grant.
