Maple Dees Jones - Osceola

Maple Dees Jones, 87, of Osceola died Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. Born at Parsons, Tenn., she was a Baptist and a cook at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola.

Survivors include a son, David Jones, Jr. of Drummonds, Tenn.; three daughters, Linda Holland and Nancy Golde, both of Osceola, and Pam Johnson of Satartia, Miss.; a brother, Tom Dees of Holiday Island; five sisters, Grable Pratt of Caraway, Neva Stewart of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Mildred Cox, Margaret Camp and Nell Lewis, all of Osceola; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Evie Scott Dees, and a daughter, Debbie Dawson.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Swift Funeral Home of Osceola, with Rev. Tom Doty officiating. Burial was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
