Paragould

Effie Bell Potter, 96, of Paragould, formerly of Leachville, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was the widow of Hillman Potter and had lived most of her life in Leachville. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Born at Reeves, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Sydney Brannum Harkey.

She is survived by two sons, Bobby Potter and Billy Potter, both of Paragould; three daughters, Dorothy Adams of Paragould, Betty Hedrick and Joyce Soloducha, both of Kansas City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchidlren, and 29 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Bufford Mason and William Potter; three brothers, three sisters, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. William Austin officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Grandsons, Terry Adams, Carl Mason, Danny Mitchel, Ronnie Mitchel, Joey Potter and Daniel Potter, served as pallbearers.

Great-grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.
