Ruby Roberds Denison

Ruby Roberds Denison, 83, of Leachville, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Monette Manor Nursing Home. Born at Adkins, she was the daughter of the late James and Gracie Osborne Roberds and had been a Leachville resident since 1937. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leachville Church of God.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ellen Ray of Leachville and Betty and Freddy Cobb of Lake City; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Veneto Roberds of Cahokia, Ill.; five grandchildren, David Cobb and wife, Jodi, of Lake City, Steve Ray and wife, Angela of Leachville, Mike Ray of Leachville, Tammy Thomas of calico Rock, and Terry Johnson and husband, Harry, of Paragould; and five great-grandchildren, Dylan Cobb, Sarah Ray, Angi Baxley, Charles Baxley and Matt Johnson and wife, Brandy; and one great-great-granddaughter, Amylia Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Thomas; a grandson, Mark Cobb; two sisters and five brothers.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with David Cobb officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Steve Ray, Mike ray, David Cobb, Freddy Cobb, Charles Thomas and Odus Finley.
