Larry Don Shasteen - Caraway

Larry Don Shasteen, 58, of Caraway died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Living most of his life in Caraway, he was a supervisor for Basler Electric at Caraway and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion and was of the Assembly of God belief.

Survivors include a son, Tim Crews of Caraway; three daughters and a son-in-law Paula and Larry Rayburn of Jayess, Miss., Belinda Shasteen of Osceola and Ladonna Shasteen of Caraway; four sisters, two brothers; and his fiancée, Kathy Walker of Caraway and her children, Crystal Browning and Leroy Walker, both of Paragould; and six grandchidlren, Michael and Cody WEbb of Osceola, Samantha and Larry Rayburn of Jayess, Miss., and Cody and Xavier Browning of Paragould.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamine and Lula Shasteen; a brother; and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gregg Funeral Home of Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens and the Rev. Rick Stevens and the Rev. Roy Kelems officiating. Burial was in Caraway Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Kenny Stallings, Danny Smith, Mark Shasteen, Ken Stallings Jr., Shawn Kelems and Jamie Stone.

Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Kelems, brad Stone and Brian Stallings.
