Edna Blalock Williams - Lake City

Edna Blalock Williams, 96, of Lake City died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Lakeside Nursing Center where she had lived the past two years.

Born at Black Oak, she lived most of her life at Lake City. She was a homemaker and the last surviving charter member of Lake City Assembly of God, where she served as song leader and Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include two sons, Jackie Williams of Lake City and Miron Williams of Jonesboro; three grandsons, Robert Williams, Kevin Williams and Keith Williams; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Williams, and her parents, Jim and Amanda Taylor Blalock.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lake City Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Raymond Clark and Steve Crawford officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Active pallbearers were Dean Vinson, Justin Vinson, Darrell McClung, Gerald Craig, Gerald Eaker and Gary Metz.

Honorary pallbearers were the board of deacons of the Lake City Assembly of God Church.
