Bonnie Marie Holcomb Miller - Jonesboro

Bonnie Marie Holcomb Miller, 89, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2005, at the Craighead County Nursing Center. She was born on Sept. 25, 1915, to Luther E. Holcomb and Ida Belle Toombs Holcomb. She was reared in the Buck Donic area where she attended the Buck Donic School. In 1933, she met and married Charles C. "Coach" Miller of Hartman. The couple continued to reside in Cardwell and to farm. In 1964, she began working for Brewer Brothers Midway Service Station and worked there off and on for the next 17 years. In 1988, Mr. and Mrs. Miller moved to Jonesboro and she continued to pursue her hobbies of sewing and gardening.

She was a past member of the Buck Donic Church, the First Baptist Church in Cardwell, the Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell, and the Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors include her husband, Charles C. Miller, of the home; three sons, Joe A. Miller of Jonesboro, Jerry L. Miller of Las Vegas, Nev., and Glenn D. Miller, of Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Bonnie Jean Brown of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Leslie Holcomb of Cardwell and Vernon Holcomb of Paragould; a sister, Lurlie Todd of Cardwell; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Harold Holcomb, and a sister, Alma Jackson.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cardwell Cemetery with Dr. Roger Brown officiating. Burial was under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
