Amy Huskey - Steele

Amy Huskey, 90, of Steele died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at River Oaks Care Center in Steele. Born Aug. 15, 1914, in Omaha, Neb., she had lived in Rivervale before moving to Steele three years ago. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include four sons, R.V. Huskey of Rivervale, J.E. Huskey and Marvin Huskey, both of Manila, and Buck Huskey of Caraway; seven daughters, Helen Winn of Grand Rapids, Mich., Bobby Miles of Marked Tree, Ruth McVay and Mary Keanum of Steele, Peggy Eastwood of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Joann Jayco of Springfield, Mo., and Betty Boyer of Dudley, Mo.; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Huskey; two sons, T.J. Huskey and Davis Huskey; her parents, Giles and Nellie Fry; nine brothers; and four sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery.

Pallbearers were R.V. Huskey, J.E. Huskey, Buck Huskey, Marvin Huskey, Bradley Huskey and Wesley Huskey.
