Kathryn Louise Morris Tatum - Manila

Kathryn Louise Morris Tatum, 84, of Manila, widow of Carl E. Morris, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born at Manila, she had been a longtime resident of Tennessee before returning to Arkansas 10 years ago. She had worked as a waitress and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Tatum of Manila; two sons, Carl L. Morris of Hughes and Nelson Morris of Manila; a daughter, Debbie Tatum of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Harold Newcomb, of Blytheville; a sister, Helen Wright of Missouri; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shirley Rebecca Morris; two sons, Bobby Tatum and Terry Tatum; a brother, Charles Newcomb and a grandson, Ronnie Morris.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Howard Funeral chapel in Manila with Rev. Ferrel Duffel officiating. Burial will be in the Manila Cemetery.
