Dearl Max Williams Sr. - Jonesboro

Dearl Max Williams Sr., 69, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at his residence. Born at Searcy, he lived in Jonesboro for 41 years and was formerly of Black Oak. He was president and co-owner of Continental Directory Co., Inc. in Jonesboro and worked in telephone sales for 42 years. He was an Army veteran and member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Unia Williams of he home; a son, Dearl Max Williams Jr. of Jonesboro; a daughter, Kimberla Williams Hopkins of Jonesboro; two brothers, Jackie Paul Williams and Vic Don Williams, both of Heber Springs; and four grandchildren, Timothy Max Williams, Tabitha Gale Williams, Jeremy Wayne Williams and Jacob Albert Williams, all of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Pauline Bass Williams.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Rev. Donnie Williams officiated. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Royal Fetcher, David Hopkins, Jason Williams, Paul Williams, Dwight Williams, Donnie Williams, Eugene Hallett and Shea Hallett.

Honorary pallbearers were Vick Williams, Jackie Williams, Norman Williams, Johnny Williams, Waymon Williams, Vernon Fisher and Ron Skinner.
