James Tim Holt - Greenbrier

James Tim Holt, Sr., 58, of Greenbrier, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at his residence. He was born at Blytheville, and had lived in Greenbrier for five years, formerly of Dalhart, Texas. He was an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad for 28 years. He was an Army veteran serving in Korea and was a member of the Brotherhood of Local Engineers. He was of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Grace Holt, and a sister, Anita.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Holt, of the home; a son, James Tim Holt, Jr., of Wooster; four daughters, Molly Pyle, Jamy Young and Katy Holt, all of Dalhart, and Meghan Holt of Greenbrier; his father, L.K. Holt, Sr., of Manila; two brothers, L.K. Holt Jr. of Snow Lake and John Holt of Hoxie; five sisters, Rosa Lee Bollinger of Manila, Louise Roddy of Jonesboro, Nancy Williams of Mablevale, Jane Gaither of Walnut Ridge and Ann Berry of Sacramento, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Trevor Pyle, Whitney Pyle, Evan Young and Jacob Young.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Tony Berry officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Phillip Bogy, Joe Hart, James McDermott, Neil McMillen, Billy Nick and Steve Still.

Honorary pallbearers were Edward Wortham and members of the 1964 graduating class of Manila High School.
