Charles "Chuck" Nelson Burres-Manila

Charles "Chuck" Nelson Burres, 70, of Manila died Oct. 5, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born March 1, 1934, at Jonesboro. He was a driver for the Northeast Area Agency of Aging. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Steinbach Burres of Manila; two daughters, Patricia Burres and Tammy Burres of Fairbanks, Alaska: a step daughter, Flora Cassidy of Manila; a son, Mike Burres of Jonesboro; four stepsons, Howard Harwood of Detroit, Mich., James Harwood of Southlyon, Mich., Robert Harwood and Kenneth Harwood of Manila; 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Izora Burres.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Manila with Brother Edward Hawkins officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.

Friends and family served as pallbearers.
