Louise Frances Spencer - Jonesboro

Louise Frances Spencer, 80, of Jonesboro died Monday, Sept. 27, at her residence.

Born in Bono, she had lived most of her life in Jonesboro and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Mays and Mary Tounsand, both of Jonesboro; three brothers, Gene Cox and Robert Cox, both of Jonesboro, and Leslie Cox of Flint, Mich.; three sisters, Marie Spencer of Otwell, Versa Millsap of Jonesboro and Pauline Tidwell of Bono; three grandchildren, Jerry D. Mays of Jonesboro, Terry Mays of Lake City and Pat Dennis of Springfield, Mo.; seven great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jenna Mays of Jonesboro, Clayton Mays of Jonesboro, Travis Mays of Lake City, and Joshua, Nicole, and Natalie Dennis of Springfield, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Spencer; her parents Bertis Lesley Cox and Mary Maude Grim Cox; one great-grandson Jacob Dennis, and two brothers.

Funeral services were Thursday at 1p.m. in the chapel of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marty Russell and the Rev. Ken Stallings officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Her grandsons and great-grandsons served as pallbearers.
