Wallace B. Lewallen - Corning

Wallace B. Lewallen, 76, of Corning, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at the Med Center in Memphis, Tenn. He was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Alicia.

He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Hoxie and was a Methodist.

He is survived by his wife, Freida Sauls Lewallen of the home; a daughter, Suzanne Daniels of caraway; a son, Wallace Gylon Lewallen of Corning; his mother, Carrie Lewallen, of Pocahontas; two brothers, Dennis Lewallen of Nelson, Ill., and Dale Lewallen of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Marcus Price, T. Daniels, Lacey Lewallen and Channing Lewallen; four great-grandchildren, Dalton Price, Chandler Daniels, Cayci Daniels and Cole Lewallen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Lewallen, and a son, Kelly Lewallen.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Blue Riggan officiating. Burial was in the Corning Cemetery.
