Linda Gay Carmichael - Monette

Linda Gay Carmichael, 58, of Monette died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was a homemaker, member of Lake City Church of Christ, and had lived in the Buffalo Island area a lifetime.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Carmichael of the home; a twin sister, Lana Kay DeWitt of Monette; a son, Roy P. Carmichael of Lexington, Va.; a daughter, Sandy Carmichael of Monette; and two grandchildren, Chris McFarlin of Jonesboro and Tyler Stone of Monette.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lehman and Lois Baker, and a brother, Lowell Baker.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Burial will be in the Monette Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Allen DeWitt, Bobby (Leroy) Slankard, Gary (Winkie) Carmichael, James (Bud) Platz, Jr., Jason Carmichael, and David Edwards.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell (Dink) Gadberry, DeWayne Couch, Raymond Miller, and employees of Keich Shaver Gin Co. and her nephews.
