Esta Lee Broughton - Lake City

Esta Lee Doty Broughton, 85, of Lake City died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Booneville, Miss., she had lived in the Lake City area most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Needham Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Joyce Reed of Bethel, Alaska; a brother, O.V. Doty of Jonesboro; two sisters, Jetty Banty of Jonesboro and Earline Riggs of Salten, Calif.; three grandchildren, Deborah J. Johnston of Jonesboro and Kenneth D. Reece and Myra S. Eidson, both of Lake City; 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ezra Broughton, and a brother.

Services were 1 p.m. Monday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home chapel in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Billy Moore, the Rev. Violet Wilson and the Rev. Raymond Clark officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers included Kenneth D. Reece, Brandon Reece, Chuck Reece, Anthony Reece, Edward G. Haff and Terry D. Knight.

Honorary pallbearers were Jason Eidson, Zachary Reece, Jimmy D. Goza, Jared Eidson and Norman Eidson.

Memorials may be made to the Lake City Nursing Center, 207 Willow Run, Lake City.
