Clyde Junior "June Bug" Kirby, 78, of Stevensville, Mich., formerly of Leachville, Monette and Paragould, died July 17, 2004, in Jordan Nursing Home, Bridgman, Mich.

He was a son of George and Ethel (Brockwell) Kirby.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. James Coffman at Dey-Florin Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Mich. Burial was in Lincoln Township Cemetery, Stevensville.

Mr. Kirby was born Dec. 11, 1925 at Monette and grew up in the Hancock and Rocky communities and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Irene Jackson in 1944 and they moved to Michigan in 1949. From this marriage four children were born-Carol, Ronnie, Jerry and Patricia. He worked for Superior Steel for 22 years and retired in 1985.

On Jan. 2, 1970, he married Loretta (Whitaker) Kirby who survives. Other survivors include a son and daughter-inlaw, Jerry and Vickie Kirby of Covert, Mich.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Bill Cannady of Murray, Ky., and Patricia and Gerald West of Kentucky; two stepsons, Rick Kirby of Saugatuck, Mich., and Jim and wife, Angie Kirby of Coloma, Mich.; three step-daughters, Vonda and husband Dave Pope of Coldwater, Mich., Karin and husband Jerry Bennett of Ohio, and Brenda Taylor of California; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Mary Kirby, Petaluma, Calif., J.D. and Jo Kirby of Cedar Grove, Tenn., Terrell R. and Alberta Kirby of Paragould, Wilborn and Vera Kirby of Black Oak and Frank and Gladys Kirby of Manila; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Velma Prince of Marmaduke and Lolita and Everett Mason of Pangburn; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie; his parents; three brothers, Hugh,

Charles and William A. and three sisters, Lavon Kirby, Lillian Luff and Bonnie

Killough.
