Bubby McLaughlin - Hoxie

Bubby McLaughlin, 40, of Hoxie died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at his residence.

Born at Imboden, he was a carpenter and lived in Hoxie and Clover Bend most of his life. He was a member of the Christian Assembly Church.

Survivors include his mother, Della Ivy of Ravenden; three brothers, Charles McLaughlin of Egypt, R.L. McLaughlin of Oakville, Ga., and Jerry McLaughlin of Hoxie; and four sisters, Betty Lee of Alicia, Lavetta Mae Walker of Ravenden, Carolyn Morris of Rochelle, Ill., and Deborah Lynn Looney of Black Oak.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. McLaughlin, four brothers and a sister.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Strangers Home Cemetery at Alicia with Roger Brand officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were David Gates, Steve Gates, Bobby Gates, Anthony McLaughlin, Bryan McLaughlin, James Newman and Shawn Worley.
