Clovis R. Gates - Warm Springs

Clovis R. Gates, 56, of Warm Springs, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at his residence.

He was born at Dyess.

Survivors include a son, Francis Gates of Leachville; a brother, Travis Gates of Byron, Ill.; three half brothers, Wayne Goodman of Rockford, Ill., and Dan "Junior" Goodman and Jimmy Goodman, both of Warm Springs; two half sisters, Cathy Pacilli of Fresno, Calif., and Shirley Quest of Rochelle, Ill.; a grandson, Christopher Gates; and two step-grandsons, Samuel Bollinger and Nicholas Bollinger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Marion Gates; his mother, Ruth Gates Goodman; three brothers and a half-sister.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Warm Springs Cemetery with Rick Anglin officiating. Cox-Waymon Funeral Home of Pocahontas was in charge of arrangements.
