Mack Thornhill Jr - Niles, Mich.

Mack Thornhill Jr., 69, of Niles, Mich., formerly of Leachville, died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Lakeland Memorial Hospital in Niles.

Born in Porum, Okla., he lived in Leachville several years before moving to Michigan. He was a retired woodworker and was of the Baptist belief.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Francis Bloodworth Thornhill of the home; three sons, Mark Thornhill of Texas, Michael Thornhill of Niles and Mack Thornhill III of Alabama; three daughters, Julie Kimp of Marcellus, Mich., Jeanette Kay Collins of Iowa and Tracee Smith of Alabama; three brothers, Henry Hetler and William Hetler, both of Leachville, and Phillip Hetler of Jonesboro; two sisters, Sylvia James and Thelma Davis, both of Leachville; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather and one sister.

The funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home Memorial chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Lynn Hetler and Rev. David Strait officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Joshua Boze, Justin Boze, Brandon Kimp, Christopher Thornhill, Ryan Kimp and Tyler Thornhill.

Visitation is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. this evening (Tuesday) at the funeral home.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the first Baptist Church of Leachville or the Eastside Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
