Helen White - Calumet

Helen White, 81, of Calumet, the widow of Fred White, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville. Born September 13, 1922, in Blytheville, the daughter of Fred and Rose Miller Roberts, she was a lifelong area resident, a homemaker, and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Manila.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Baird of Oklahoma City, Okla., David Presson of Bloomington, Ind.; and the Rev. Robert White of Manila; a brother, Danny Roberts of Calumet; and five sisters, Ann Loyd of Calumet, Fredlene White of Gosnell, Bonnie Denton of Blytheville, and Janet Sheperd and Deanie West, both of Atlanta, Ga.; and 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Alberta Lollar, and Nolie, Martha, Fred Thomas, and Wade Roberts.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Robert White officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. The family received visitors Friday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be e-mailed to cobbfuneralhome@arkansas.net.
