Kalla "Pete" Pittman - Caraway

Kalla "Pete" Pittman, 88, of Caraway died Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at St. Bernard's Medical center in Jonesboro. He was a retired farmer, member of Rowe's Chapel Baptist Church and had lived in the Caraway area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Pittman, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Dianna Pittman of Stuttgart; three sister, Eve Ramsey of Sherwood, Vera Iserman of Petaluma, Calif., and Lucky Brooks of Caraway; two brothers, Buren Pittman of Midland, Texas, and Binford Pittman of Caraway; three grandchildren Julie Blevins of DeWitt, Jennifer Davis of Stuttgart, Jayna Pittman of Fayetteville, and four great-grandchildren, Haley and Connor Blevins, and Alannah and Garrett Davis.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Mike Tabor and Rev. Bob Kinett officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Active pallbearers were Jeff Pittman, Bill Brooks, Floyd Brooks, Lloyd Brooks, Phillip Brooks, Ronnie Roberts, Dick Roberts, Travis Moore, Bob Ramsey, Jerry Roberts, Burnice Moore, Jr., and Johnny Pitman.

Honorary pallbearers were L.C. Austin, J.D. Coleman, Leroy Poe, Roy Anderson, and Dalton Taylor.
