Garry Lynn Brooks - Caraway

Garry Lynn Brooks, 54, of Caraway, died Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Med in Memphis, Tenn.

He was a painter, of the Baptist faith, and had lived in Caraway a lifetime.

He is survived by his mother, Lucy Brooks, of Caraway; a sister, Patty Smith of Osceola; four brothers, William Brooks of Belleville, Ill., Phillip Brooks of Caraway, Lloyd Brooks, and Floyd Brooks, both of Jonesboro; a son, Garry brooks, Jr., of Caraway; and two daughters, Melissa Brooks of Tayares, Fla., and Sherry Lynn Dobbins of Corning; grandchildren, Faith Lynn brooks, Jamie Elenburg, Austin Lynn Brooks, Jessica Elenburg, Chelsea Elenburg, Brad Lee Dobbins, and Kristen Dobbins.

He was preceded in death by his father, C.A. Brooks, and a brother, Michael Brooks.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Andy Price officiating. Burial will be in the Caraway Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Randy berry, Jerry Bynum, Clint Ballard, Allen Underwood, DeWayne Cross and Jason Smith.
