Mary Maglene Banks - Rector

Mary Maglene Banks, 76, of Rector, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Rector Health Care. Born in Friendship, Mo., she was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include six sons, James "Cowboy" Banks and Dennis "Sonny" Banks, both of Rector, Michael "Doc" Banks of Nimmons, Jimmy "Bones" Banks of Leachville, and Manuel "Hoss" Banks and Carroll "Guiea" Banks, both of Paraoguld; six daughters, Diane Burdin, Pat "Trix" Clayton and Georgia Rios, all of Rector, Reba Beck of Nimmons and Martha Stevens and Euelyn Clark, both of Paragould; two brothers, Charles Lemmons and Tommy Lemmons, both of Illinois; three sisters, Christine Weaver and Dora Presley, both of Illinois, and Bonnie Lemmons of Louisiana; 29 grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 50 step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Dude Banks; her parents, John Alfred and Rosie Lemmons; two sons; two grandchildren; one step-grandson; and two great-granddaughters.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell Funeral Home in rector with Bobby Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. this evening (Tuesday) at the funeral home.
