James (Harlin) Eubanks, 76, of Coloma, Mich., died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at his home. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Davidson Chapel, Florin Funeral Service, Coloma, the Rev. Tom Langston officiating. Burial was in Coloma Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 362 of Coloma and Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, VFW Post 1137 of Benton Harbor and VFW Post 6803 of

Watervliet. Memorials may be made to South Haven Area Hospice and First General Baptist Church, Coloma.

Mr. Eubanks was born April 15, 1927, in Monette to Tom and Mattie (Crowell) Eubanks. He moved to the Coloma area in 1951 and married Lucille Grabitt Kendall on Aug. 12, 1974. He was a World War II veteran and retired from American Can

Company in 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille; children, Pat (Rev. Tom Langston) of Coloma, Marilyn (Rick) Miller of Benton Harbor, James (Sherry) Eubanks of Coloma, Toni (Brian Miller) Eubanks of Ann Arbor, Mich., David (Lori) Eubanks of Galien, Mich., Beverly (Floyd Barnes) Eubanks of Benton Harbor, Clifford (Annette) Eubanks of Eau Claire, Mich., Brian (Debbie) Eubanks of Benton Harbor and Dawn (James) Martin of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three brothers, William Eubanks of Dexter, Mo., Joe Eubanks of Pevely, Mo., and Gary (Ladon) Eubanks of Desoto, Mo.; two sisters, Velma Densmore and Lorine (Dean) Sparkman, both of Manila; 26 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
