Katie L. Warren - Blytheville

Katie L. Warren, 83, of Blytheville, widow of Dewey Edward Warren, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville. Born Sept. 17, 1920, in Chattanooga, Tenn., the daughter of Frank and Dessie Clowers Sutton, she was a resident of Blytheville for most of her life, a homemaker, and a member of Ruddle Road Church of God.

She is survived by five daughters, Ruth Bacchuss of Paducah, Ky., Lois Uselton of Lincoln, Edith Chism and Sybil Warren, both of the Half Moon Community, Shirley Humble of Brookland; seven sons, William Warren of Savannah, Tenn., Dennis Jimmy, and Merle Warren, all of the Half Moon Community, Thomas Warren of Murray, Ky., Ernest Warren of Manila, and Mark Warren of Gosnell; two sisters, Alice Harble of Bartow, Fla., and Ruth Coleman of Wachula, Fla.; 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Bradford; a sister, Annie Watkins; four brothers, Robert, Earl, Hoyt and Hugh Sutton, and a great-grandson, Robert Green.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. James Decanter officiating. Burial was in the Dogwood Cemetery.
