Betty Lou Palmer - Manila

Betty Lou Palmer, 65, of Manila died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at St. Bernard's Medical center in Jonesboro. Born February 3, 1938, in Marked Tree, the daughter of James Boyd Franks and Irene McClure Franks Rollins, she was lifelong area resident, a retired employee of Osceola Shoe Factory, and of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Palmer is survived by her husband, Ray Wesley Palmer of Manila; her daughters, Donna Cole of Paragould; Deborah Campbell, Linda Salomon, and Jannette Spain, all of Manila; Annette Burns of Polo, Mo.; sons, Johnny Palmer, Billy Palmer, and Jimmy Palmer, all of Manila, and Kenneth Palmer of Harrisburg; a brother, Danny Rollins of Manila; four sisters, Connie Hampton of Michigan City, Ind., Sandra Harris of Christopher, Ill., and Nancy Cash and Yvonne Phillips, both of Mississippi; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Doris Palmer, and one grandchild.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with rev. Bill Glenweaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.
