Rita Jordan - Lake City

Rita Jordan, 49, of Lake City died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at her residence. She had lived in Lake City for the past 30 years and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, John Jordan of the home; four sons, John T. Jordan of Hoxie, Christopher A. Jordan and Phillip N. Jordan, both of Lake City and Jason M. Jordan of Yorktown, Va.; a daughter, Tamatha M. Jordan Milligan of Jonesboro; her mother, Lela Bell Wilson of Jonesboro; four sisters, Betty Edison, Ann Hoffman, Shirley Thomas and Sherry Russell, all of Jonesboro; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Wilson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Van Gilbert officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Danny Thomas, Malcolm Hoffman, Robert Dewitt, Scott Russell, Jeremy Hoffman and Anthony Lancaster.

Honorary pallbearers will include Jerry Edison, Jesse Floyd, William Floyd, Jimmy Edison and her cousins and uncles.
