Charles Ruben Hatcher - Manila

Charles Ruben Hatcher, 80, of Manila died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Black Oak, he was the son of the late James and Mary Luttrell Hatcher and had been a lifelong Manila area resident. He was retired from Randall Manufacturing Company in Blytheville, a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a son, Michael Hatcher of Alpharetta, Ga.; two daughters, Linda Tune and Barbara Hatcher, both of Manila; a nephew whom he raised, Robbie Moore, of Ft. Leonardwood, Mo.; three grandchildren, Melissa Baker of Manila, Brandi Hatcher of Houston, Texas, and Carie Matlock of Alpharetta, Ga.; and three great-grandchildren, Garrett Baker, Makenna Baker, and Andi Jo Baker, all of Manila.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Moore Hatcher, and four brothers.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating.
