Albert Joseph Bandy - Leachville

Albert Joseph Bandy, 90, of Leachville, died Thursday, July 17, 2003, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born at Bay, he was the son of the late Ira Edward and Mary Sanders Bandy and had been a Leachville resident since 1948. He was a retired farmer having worked for Wildy Farms for 33 years and was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Arudy Bandy of the home; three sons, A.J. Bandy of Leachville, Tim Bandy of Kansas City, Mo., and Ricky Bandy of Lake City; a daughter, Lavelle Alliston of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, W.A. Bandy of Bay; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clarence Bibbs, Lee Bibbs, Harold Bibbs, Phillip Bibbs and Mark Bibbs.

Honorary pallbearers were Earl Wildy, Paul Wildy, David Wildy, Boyce Long, Lloyd Long and Otis Long.
