Wilma Ann Batchelar - Lake City

Wilma Ann Batchelar, 54, of Lake City, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at her home.

Born at Egypt, she spent most of her life in Lake City, was a homemaker and attended the Needham Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Batchelar Sr. of the home; three daughters, Darlene Hodge of Needham, Moica Batchelar of Harrisburg and Alicia Bond of Lake City; three sons, Jerry Wayne Batchelar Jr. of Harrisburg, Berry Batchelar of Lake City and Denny Batchelar of Gravel Hill; her father, Edward Lester Broughton of Needham; three sisters, Brenda Faye Lisk of Farrville, Bernita Dutton of St. Louis and Melinda Shimperd of Jonesboro; two brothers, Danny Broughton of Needham and Elton Broughton of Rockford, Ill.; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elda May Broughton, and a sister.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Emerson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City with Arthur Phelps and Violet Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Bowman Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Dwight Travis, Mark West, James Don Bailey, Bob West, Glenn Bailey and Clarence Medlin. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Hodge, Bill Hodge and Scott Baker.
